National Assembly Continues the Work of the Sittings

At April 8 sitting the deputies welcomed the pedagogues and pupils from the schools of Vanand and Hatsik villages of Armavir Marz who had visited the National Assembly within the “Open Doors” programme and were observing the NA sittings.

By the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan's proposal the deputies in one-minute silence honoured the memory of the NA former deputy, the former member of the Government David Zadoyan. “With his weighty activity in the legislative and executive bodies, with his active participation in the Artsakh freedom fighting he has a great contribution in building and establishment of our state,” the NA Speaker said.

The parliament in the second reading completely passed the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Education” and “On Amending the RA Law on General Education.”

Then the NA deputies Naira Zohrabyan, Aram Manukyan, Khachatur Kokobelyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Stepan Margaryan, Edmon Marukyan, Gagik Jhangiryan, Levon Zurabyan, Tevan Poghosyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan presented their viewpoints on the conclusion of the Ad-hoc Committee Studying the RA Gas Supply System Activity. The deputies talked about the functions, the mission and the efficiency of the Ad-hoc Committee, touched upon the low calorie, losses and the price formation of the gas,  as well as the protection of the consumers’ interests in Armenia, presented a series of recommendations aimed at the solution of the problems existing in the gas supply system.

The NA Factions (Rubik Hakobyan, Heritage Faction, Heghine Bisharyan, the Rule of Law faction) also presented their viewpoints on the conclusion of the Ad-hoc Committee Studying the RA Gas Supply System Activity.

The debate of the issue will resume at NA April 9 sitting.

The last sitting, according to the established order of the NA Rules of Procedure, the members of the Government answered the deputies’ questions.
